DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY CHILD'S DOCTOR FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?
This depends on your insurance policy. Some plans require a referral, while others do not. Please check with your insurance provider or contact us for assistance.
DOES INSURANCE COVER OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?
Many insurance plans cover occupational therapy, but coverage can vary. Our team can help you verify benefits and navigate insurance requirements to make sure your child receives the care they need.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Yes, we do. We are currently in network with the following insurance companies:
Sentara (formerly VA Premier and Optima)
Aetna Better Health
Molina Health
Humana Military
Anthem BCBC Better Health Keepers
We are currently in the process of becoming in network with other companies.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR TO THERAPY SESSIONS?
We recommend comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for movement. Some activities may involve climbing, jumping, or using sensory materials, so attire that your child can move in easily is best.
WHAT IF YOU ARE NOT IN-NETWORK WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY?
Most insurance companies will pay for your out-of-network services. Give us a call or email us to see if your insurance company is one of those.
WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS A HARD TIME PARTICIPATING IN THERAPY SESSIONS?
It’s common for children to need time to adjust to a new setting and routine. Our therapists are trained to work with children at their own pace, using strategies to build comfort and trust over time.
